Black Frid-eh, Cyber Mond-eh 2012

Black Friday is  is the day following Thanksgiving in the United States and traditionally the beginning of the Christmas shopping season. Many major retailers open really early and offer promotional sales to kick off the shopping season.  It is similar to Boxing Day sales in Canada. Black Friday is not an official holiday, but many non-retail employers also observe this day as a holiday along with Thanksgiving, giving their employees the day off, thereby increasing the number of potential shoppers. It is the busiest shopping day of the year since 2005!

There are deals galore out there but only if you are brave enough to withstand the massive long lines and crowded shops.  A lot of Canadians are still unaware of what Black Friday is but it is slowly catching on.

My shopping spree involved Old Navy and Gap.  Shopping for the kids, who else?  Old Navy was packed at 9:30 this morning as i sifted through the mess that was already starting to pile up!  I feel for these employees who have to reorganize and fold clothes at the end of the day!

That’s why it’s smart to have an online shop..no mess to clean up.  So this year i’m offering my first Black Frid-eh and Cyber Mond-eh sale in my very own Etsy shop, Pearl Amour Jewels.

Exclusive offer for my Bloggers…25% off my entire shop….use coupon code BLACK12

DIY Peter Pan Collars

Peter Pan collar is a flat, round-cornered clothing collar. It is named after the collar of the costume worn in 1905 by actress Maude Adams in her role as Peter Pan. Since then, it has become a women’s fashion item several times.

Peter Pan collars are everywhere for fall 2012 and there are several kinds, from simple to embroidered fabrics and even on nails!
